About The Position

The Quality Inspector II/III position at Qualified Production and Development involves executing the Quality Management System to ensure product quality through inspections, audits, and communication with customers and suppliers. The role requires a strong understanding of quality assurance disciplines and the ability to provide coaching and support across the company. Quality Inspectors will perform inspections on various components and materials, document results, and assist in internal audits and compliance efforts.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Quality Inspector in manufactured parts.
  • Strong knowledge of quality control processes, procedures, and best practices.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Proficiency using measuring instruments and tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.).
  • Strong working knowledge of statistics, geometry, fractions, percentages, and ratios.
  • Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) guidelines and best practices.
  • Excellent attention to detail in accuracy of documentation.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Additional technical education or certification is a plus.
  • Sheet metal knowledge and experience is a strong plus.
  • Coordinate Measuring Machine skills (CMM) are a plus but not required.
  • ERP database experience.
  • Basic proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

  • Perform dimensional, visual, and functional inspection of parts, components, assemblies, and raw materials, documenting and communicating inspection results.
  • Perform efficient manual measurements on granite rock.
  • Prepare First Article & In Process Inspection reports using precision handheld measurement equipment and/or gauges.
  • Review acceptance criteria defined by customer documents to ensure appropriate inspection methods and identify any drawing or specification errors.
  • Provide feedback to the Quality Manager to define and deliver responses to customer requests and inquiries related to product quality.
  • Assist the Quality Manager in defining and executing internal audits to ensure compliance and developing procedures and work instructions.
  • Follow all safety requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
