About The Position

The Quality Inspector I job requires you to perform routine inspection and/or testing in one of the following Departments/Areas: Coating, Tufting, Logos, or Lab. This job involves visually checking raw materials, products at different stages of production, and finished products. You'll also make simple measurements and ensure all records are accurate. Night Shift Key Responsibilities: Coating: Inspect turf during coating process (face and back) for defects. Measure roll width, pile height, tuft binds, and record data accordingly. Place quality holds on defective rolls. Prepare retain samples for lab testing. Tufting: Perform routine inspections, recording any findings in logbooks. Verify correct raw materials (backing, fiber, fiber color). Perform “weight checks” for all new orders and confirm product specifications. Logos: Measure logo dimensions, and check for defects. Perform EFAB machine quality checks. Record logo inspection data. Lab: Conduct routine finished product tests (Instron, drainage). Prepare test samples using die press cutter. Test incoming materials (infill, fiber, backing) when necessary. Note: Each Department/Area requires effective communication with production personnel, department Supervisors, and Quality Team. Follow company policies, safety procedures, and industry regulations to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.

Requirements

  • Basic Computer Skills (Microsoft Word, Excel) and basic Math skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High School Diploma/GED Required.
  • Ability to read and interpret production orders and specifications.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects.
  • Basic measurement skills using measuring tapes, rulers, and other tools.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
