About The Position

The Quality Inspector I will perform inspections of incoming materials, parts, and finished products to ensure all products meet quality standards.

Requirements

  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of ISO9001 and AS9100 management systems.
  • Working knowledge of measurement instruments.
  • AS9102 FAI inspection preferred.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow verbal and written communications.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Ability to lift to 20 pounds.
  • Vision and depth perception suitable for use of inspection equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect in process and finished product as required by established procedures.
  • Accurately document the results of inspection and testing results.
  • Perform careful inspections and enforcements of Quality Standards.
  • Maintain all controlled document files of the inspections and testing results.
  • Document and report product or service quality levels.
  • Communicate with Quality Team Members to solve problems.
  • Maintain records of measuring devices to ensure compliance to standards of QAP, AS9100 and ISO9001.
  • Evaluate problems and make recommendations for possible corrective actions.
  • Monitor critical equipment and instrumentation to ensure proper operation.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprint drawings.
  • Sense of urgency and ability to prioritize work.
  • Follow up with appropriate Team Members/Management when mistakes are discovered.
