The Quality Inspector I inspects parts to appropriate visual and dimensional customer specifications; shares responsibility for final quality to the customer; runs reports and understand the work cell priorities; works closely with production; and must be dedicated to "on time" results and committed to having no customer returns. This role is based at our facility in Tucson, AZ 2nd Shift Schedule: Monday - Friday, 1:00 pm - 9:30 pm

Requirements

• Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in quality-related discipline
• Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
• Must have proficient computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PPT), experience using SAP or similar ERP is a plus
• Operate and calibrate various mechanical, electronic, optical, and nondestructive test instruments
• The selection of the person to be hired for this position is contingent on the candidate having export compliance eligibility for access to U.S. controlled technology which comes under the licensing jurisdiction of the U.S. Department of State, International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the U.S. Department of Commerce, Export Administration Regulations (EAR). The candidate selected will have to qualify as either a U.S. citizen, a U.S. National, a lawful permanent resident of the U.S., a Person Admitted into the U.S. as an Asylee or Refugee., a National of a country that is not prohibited from having access to U.S. controlled technology (via a letter of assurance), or a Person to be approved for an export license by the governing agency whose technology comes under its jurisdiction.

Responsibilities

• Conduct dimensional inspections
• use sales orders to apply correct customer specifications or exceptions
• Read and understand part prints and tolerances, know the order of governing documents
• Use a variety of measuring and data recording equipment, including at least micrometers (various types and sizes), profilometer, and metallographic camera
• Prepare reports, calculate and record statistical data as needed to reflect quality status of products
