Come build your career with us. The Final Inspection position will work within BAE's Quality department for the review and inspection of completed assemblies. The inspector shall verify conformance of the assemblies using predetermined methods, operations, setups and prescribed specifications to visually inspect moderate to complex assemblies to ensure compliance to applicable quality specifications and standards. Work from blueprints, diagrams, regulatory and BAE specifications, drawing or inspection instructions and checklists. Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed full-time onsite. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time.

Requirements

  • High School/GED
  • 1-2+ years of experience in similar inspection role
  • Experience with inspecting circuit card assemblies, printed wiring boards, electrical components, and mechanical parts using common inspection tools which include calipers, micrometers, GO/NG fixtures, height gauges, pin gauges, and thread gauges
  • High attention to detail
  • Self-motivated

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T)
  • Familiarity with Military and Industry specifications and standards
  • Ability to review and verify conformance and traceability documentation
  • Ability to interpret and inspect to technical specifications and drawings
  • Ability to navigate and organize information within a Quality Management System Database
  • Inspection of Printed Wiring Boards per IPC-A-600, Inspection of Circuit Card Assemblies per IPC-A-610
  • XRF testing
