About The Position

The position involves verifying and accepting Material Test Reports (MTR) and supporting documentation, including creating purchase order (PO) packets to maintain these records. The role requires advising, coordinating, and interacting with all departments and suppliers to achieve objectives related to the acceptance or rejection of MTRs for raw materials. The individual will determine and communicate necessary hold points for inspections and tests to be performed on raw materials for special projects upon arrival per PO requirements. Additionally, the role includes performing hardness tests on raw materials and finished machined parts to ensure compliance with engineering specifications and purchase order requirements for acceptance. The individual will verify and approve MTRs for machined parts and create PO packets prior to conducting dimensional inspections. Ensuring traceability of all parts and maintaining a documentation trail is crucial for certifying the manufacturing process to the highest standards. The position also involves ensuring that the customer's representative has access to necessary work areas and documentation for reviews, interpreting API standards and client requirements, and making unbiased decisions regarding the acceptance or rejection of materials or components to mitigate business risks. Collaboration with the Document Control Team to complete any required documentation is also part of the responsibilities.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Working knowledge of manifold manufacture and design process.
  • Working knowledge of industry standards API 6A, ISO, ASME, ANSI, ASTM, NACE, NORSOK, PED.
  • Working knowledge of Inspection Test Plans (ITPs).
  • Working knowledge of Outside Diameter Micrometers (OD Mics).
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting manufacturing drawings.
  • Experienced with measurement of finished products and components.
  • Computer literacy, including good command of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Willingness and ability to work evening shifts and overtime when necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Record and document traceable information required for certifying the manufacturing process.
  • Ensure customer representatives have access to necessary work areas and documentation for reviews.
  • Interpret API standards and client requirements to ensure compliance with product standards.
  • Accept, reject, or place on hold any item or operation not conforming to specifications or contracts.
  • Work with Document Control Team to complete required documentation.
