About The Position

Waev Inc. is an electric mobility OEM founded in 2021 to manufacture, distribute, market, and support the GEM, Taylor-Dunn and Tiger brands. GEM was the first commercially-produced, street-legal low-speed vehicle in the United States. GEMs shuttle people and goods across city centers, residential communities, government campuses, colleges and universities, and other micro-environments. Founded in 1949, Taylor-Dunn burden carriers, personnel carriers, and stockchasers have been trusted solutions in a broad range of commercial environments and provide premium reliability, safety features, and all-electric efficiency for industrial grade applications. Tiger heavy-duty tow tractors have been towing cargo, baggage, parcel, and other equipment in ground support applications since 1981. Waev's headquarters and factory are located in Anaheim, California. JOB SUMMARY The Quality Inspector / Assembler is responsible for performing both vehicle assembly and quality inspection activities to ensure Waev products meet established quality standards, specifications, and customer expectations. This role plays a key part in identifying defects, verifying workmanship, and supporting continuous improvement while also contributing directly to production assembly as needed.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Ability to read and interpret basic drawings, work instructions, and inspection criteria.
  • Basic knowledge of computers.
  • Basic knowledge of power, air, torque, and manual tools
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Understanding of Mechanical and assembly concepts

Nice To Haves

  • Prior quality inspection experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment preferred.
  • Prior mechanical or vehicle assembly experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform in-process and final quality inspections on vehicle assemblies, subassemblies, and components.
  • Inspect parts and assemblies for workmanship, accuracy, completeness, and conformance to specifications.
  • Perform assembly tasks including building vehicle parts, sub-systems, and components.
  • Safely use and operate various tools including power tools, hoists, and production equipment.
  • Accurately complete inspection reports, checklists, and production documentation.
  • Read, understand, and follow work instructions, engineering drawings, quality standards, and procedures.
  • Perform duties assigned by Supervisor and/or Group Leader.
  • Follow all safety rules and regulations strictly and maintain a clean and orderly work area.
  • Maintain a consistent pace throughout the shift with focus on quality (i.e., within applicable quality standards).
  • Participate in continuous improvement process.
  • Work overtime as required and mandated by production schedules.
  • Maintain regular, reliable attendance.
