Aerospace Machine Shop is looking for a Quality Inspector King Machine specializes in the manufacture of precision CNC machined parts and assemblies for the global aerospace industry. DOE, low end of scale typically meets minimum requirements, high end of scale exceeds requirements and experience including advanced knowledge/certifications.
Requirements
- Knowledge of CMM inspection, Prior experience with PC-DMIS is preferred.
- Strong understanding and ability to interpret engineering drawings, perform basic shop math and familiarity with Geometric Dimensions & Tolerances per ASME Y14.5.
- Ability to use standard inspection equipment, including micrometer, caliper, and height gage.
- Computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Ability to routinely lift up to 50 lbs.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- 5+ years Quality Inspection or equivalent education and experience.
- Previous experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment.
Nice To Haves
- CAD skills are preferred.
- Hardness and conductivity inspection is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Perform hands-on in-process and final inspection of light assemblies and detail parts in support of an AS9100 certified aerospace machine shop.
- CMM and manual first part and final inspection.
- Receiving inspection of supplier furnished product and services.
- Identify, segregate, and maintain records for nonconforming material.
- Complete AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR's).
