About The Position

Martin-Baker America, Inc. is looking for a skilled Inspector A to perform in‑house and supplier inspections of machined parts, sheet‑metal components, and production tooling. This role ensures all manufactured parts meet required drawings, standards, and specifications, and includes completing all related documentation and reports.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 5 years of inspection or related experience (an engineering degree may substitute for up to 3 years).
• Proficiency with precision inspection equipment and common manufacturing processes.
• Strong ability to interpret drawings, apply shop math, geometry, and trigonometry.

Responsibilities

• Obtains and interprets the necessary data needed to perform inspections (drawings, specifications, military standards, etc.).
• Selects the appropriate inspection equipment necessary to perform specific inspection (CMM, Optical Comparator, Dial Indicators, Height Gages, Thread Gages, Sine Plate, Hardness Tester, Conductivity Meter, Coating Thickness Meter, etc.).
• Develops surface plate layout and gauging setup inspection techniques.
• Visually and dimensionally inspects in-house and supplier machined parts and fabricated sheet metal components to engineering drawings, specifications, standards, work order instructions and purchase order specifications to verify compliance.
• Tests in-house and supplier machined parts, fabricated sheet metal components and materials for surface finish, hardness, and conductivity to engineering drawing, specifications, standards, work order instructions and purchase order specifications to verify compliance.
