About The Position

The Quality Inspector is responsible for performing quality tasks as outlined in the Quality Management System (QMS). This includes conducting quality inspections, documenting and recording inspection results, and writing scrap tickets for rejected parts while analyzing their causes. The inspector ensures that all rejected materials are properly marked and moved to a nonconformance area. They verify part quality, check labels for accuracy, ensure lot traceability, and confirm that first piece production parts are in place. The role also involves participating in corrective action processes by recommending and implementing necessary corrective actions. Communication with the Quality Manager, Engineers, Operators, and/or Operations Manager regarding quality problems or concerns is essential. Additionally, the inspector helps instruct new employees on key quality elements and assists with training on measuring techniques. The position requires reading and interpreting part drawings and understanding tolerances while following all business and safety guidelines.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • One or more years of job-related experience.
  • Basic mathematical skills.
  • Basic knowledge of computers and MS Office.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and demonstrate a positive attitude.
  • Good communication and interpretation skills.
  • Good visual skills for part inspection and reasoning ability.
