Quality Inspector 2 Thursday - Saturday and every other Wednesday 6pm-6am Job Summary The Quality Inspector 2 at Jabil Inc. is responsible for performing a variety of inspections, checks, tests, and sampling procedures for incoming materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure product quality and adherence to specifications. This role requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to work effectively within a manufacturing environment.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent; an Associate's degree in a technical field is a plus.
2-4 years of experience in a quality control or inspection role within a manufacturing environment.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
Demonstrated ability to use various measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, optical comparators, etc.).
Strong attention to detail and ability to identify subtle defects or deviations.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Basic computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with Quality Management Systems (e.g., ISO 9001) is preferred.
Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

Conduct visual and dimensional inspections of materials, components, and finished products using appropriate tools and equipment (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges).
Perform in-process inspections at various stages of production to verify compliance with engineering drawings, work instructions, and quality standards.
Document inspection results accurately and thoroughly, identifying and reporting any deviations or non-conformances.
Initiate and participate in non-conformance reports (NCRs) and corrective action processes as required.
Operate and maintain inspection equipment, ensuring calibration and proper functionality.
Assist in the identification and segregation of non-conforming materials.
Collaborate with production personnel, engineers, and other quality team members to resolve quality issues.
Understand and adhere to all relevant safety procedures and quality management system requirements.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and provide feedback on process enhancements.
May assist in training junior quality inspectors or production staff on quality standards and procedures.
