About the position

EVS Metal is seeking an experienced Quality Inspector to perform in-process inspections and support various aspects of the quality management system. The role involves ensuring high standards of quality through visual and mechanical inspections of materials and products, while promoting continuous improvement within the organization.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual/mechanical inspection of incoming raw materials and machined/sheet metal parts.
• Ensure compliance with standard procedures in all aspects of work.
• Conduct final inspections of outgoing products using purchase orders, routers, and drawings.
• Complete inspection forms and enter results into the ERP system as required.
• Follow departmental Standard Work and recommend improvements to the inspection process.
• Collaborate with other departments to support Quality at the Source and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
• Understand the proper operation, use, and handling of calibrated measurement equipment.

Requirements

• Minimum of a High School diploma/GED.
• 3+ years of experience in inspecting sheet metal and/or machining metal.
• Experience working in an ISO environment.
• Strong skills in the selection, handling, and proper use of measurement instruments such as height gauges, micrometers, and calipers.
• Attention to detail for accurate measurements and data recording.
• Ability to review and interpret customer specifications and quality requirements.
• Knowledge of AQL Inspection Level ANSI Z 1.4, Z1.9 sampling tables.
• First Article Inspection experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and willing to learn EVS business software.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

• Experience with welding fabrication processes.
• Experience in Precision Sheet Metal Quality Inspection.
