Position Summary Perform tasks involved in the inspection and packaging of piston rings while following standard work instructions and practicing safe work habits. Inspect rings for defects, verify laser mark identification and product specifications, and document inspection results. Reconcile inspection documentation and prepare products for packaging and shipment. Communicate abnormal quality issues to the inspection supervisor and maintain a clean, safe work environment while working as part of a team.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED; demonstrated knowledge and ability to perform basic math and reading skills are required.
  • Must meet requirements for visual inspection process and have good attention to detail.
  • Must show demonstrated manual dexterity to grasp or manipulate parts.
  • Excellent time management skills are necessary.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in a cross-cultural environment.
  • Ability to use effective two-way communication and maintaining positive relationships with coworkers.
  • Must be able to remain stationary for extended periods.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as loading and unloading parts.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment effectively.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds, on occasion.
  • Must be able to participate in a team lift for anything over 50 lbs.
  • Due to production needs, non-standard work schedules, such as weekends and holidays, may be necessary.

Nice To Haves

  • Prefer 2 years manufacturing experience and previous work in automotive industry or quality environment is desired.
