About The Position

As the Customer Experience & Final Release Quality Technician at Anton Paar QuantaTec Inc., you are the final quality authority before any instrument or part leaves our facility. Every shipment carries your verification — complete, accurate, fully functional, and configured exactly to customer specifications. You don’t just inspect; you protect the customer experience, the brand, and the reputation for precision that defines Anton Paar worldwide. This role goes beyond inspection. You’ll simulate real-world installations to validate usability and readiness, partner cross-functionally to eliminate discrepancies before they become field issues, and proactively strengthen processes that reduce returns and complaints. Your attention to detail, technical judgment, and integrity directly impact customers ranging from leading universities to Fortune 500 manufacturers. The Customer Experience & Final Release Quality Technician serves as the final quality authority before any instrument or part leaves Anton Paar QuantaTec Inc. This role is responsible for verifying that every shipment is complete, accurate, fully functional, and aligned with the customer order. Acting as the final release checkpoint, this position ensures all parts, accessories, documentation, voltages and configurations are correct prior to shipment. This position plays a critical role in preventing customer complaints, field issues and returns while protecting the Anton Paar brand and customer experience. In addition, this role with be trained as backup to: 1. Perform mock installations of instruments to simulate the end-customer experience. By replicating real-world setup and operation, the technician validates product readiness, usability, and completeness before release. When capacity allows,  2. Support incoming inspection activities to verify that received materials meet Anton Paar’s quality standards. The Customer Experience & Final Release Quality Technician is detail-oriented, proactive, and committed to upholding Anton Paar’s quality standards.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • More than one year of experience in quality inspection, technical assembly, installation, or related production roles
  • Knowledge of quality inspection practices and procedures
  • An eye for detail
  • Excellent communication skills - reading, writing, speaking
  • Accountability: Effectively completes tasks on time with minimal supervision, sets realistic goals and follows through on commitments
  • Critical Thinking: Performs analysis to help diagnose and resolve issues encountered during the production process
  • Collaboration: Working well with others on internal teams by using effective interpersonal skills

Nice To Haves

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in technical or science field preferred Knowledge of scientific instrumentation
  • Experience with shipping inspection and packaging activities preferred
  • Experience performing equipment installations or troubleshooting preferred
  • Exposure to Six Sigma or continuous improvement methodologies
  • Experience in ERP systems (SAP preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive inspections of all outgoing instruments and part shipments
  • Verify completeness and accuracy of parts, accessories, documentation, labelling, and configurations against customer orders
  • Confirm voltages, country-specific requirements, serial numbers, and BOM accuracy
  • Ensure packaging integrity and compliance with shipping standards
  • Record inspection results in SAP and controlled forms
  • Communicate and escalate discrepancies; authorize final quality release prior to shipment
  • Perform mock installations according to defined protocols to simulate the end-customer setup experience
  • Evaluate functionality, configuration accuracy, and usability
  • Identify missing components, documentation gaps, or performance concerns
  • Generate clear reports and provide structured feedback to Engineering, Production, and Planning
  • Track installation time and document findings on production orders
  • Assist with inspection of incoming materials and verify part numbers, quantities, and condition
  • Document nonconformances in SAP and coordinate resolution with Purchasing and Quality
  • Identify recurring issues and recommend process improvements to reduce field issues, returns, and customer complaints
  • All other duties as assigned.
