Quality Informatics Specialist

About The Position

Are you passionate about healthcare data, quality improvement, and making sure the numbers truly reflect patient care? Valley Health Systems is seeking a Quality Informatics Specialist to play a key role in strengthening quality reporting, value-based care, and population health initiatives across our organization. In this role, you’ll serve as a technical informatics expert embedded within our Informatics team, working closely with Quality, Value-Based Operations, clinical leaders, and external partners to ensure our quality data is accurate, reliable, and meaningful. You’ll help ensure confidence in the quality outcomes we report to regulators, payers, and leadership, while reducing inefficiencies and improving how data supports real-world patient care.

Requirements

Degree in Health Informatics, Computer Science, or a related field
Experience working with healthcare quality data and reporting systems
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Ability to collaborate across clinical, quality, IT, and vendor teams

Nice To Haves

Epic reporting experience
FQHC or safety-net healthcare experience
Familiarity with UDS, NCQA, MSSP/MIPS, Azara, and value-based care models

Responsibilities

Validate and reconcile clinical quality data across the EHR and other systems
Identify and resolve data discrepancies before they impact reporting or performance
Develop and maintain monthly data reliability reporting
Support internal quality, value-based care, and population health reporting
Partner with EHR analysts and external vendors to align workflows and reporting
Support quality and patient experience reporting with actionable insights
