About The Position

We are the Behavioral Health Community organization responsible for the delivery of mental health, substance abuse treatment coordination, and developmental disabilities services for Kent County. We need individuals who are passionate about making a difference by helping others. We are seeking a Quality Improvement Specialist monitor and document quality and compliance with federal, state, and local governmental requirements, laws and regulations; represent Network180 on system-level projects; review, evaluate, investigate, and develop recommendations related to client risk events; facilitate root cause analysis of sentinel events; coordinate and facilitate clinical and non-clinical audits of Network180; support maintaining organizational national accreditation. This position is 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. There are no weekends, on-call or holiday requirements. This position is remote with occasional local travel within Kent County, Michigan.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Counseling Psychology, or Marriage and Family Therapist.
  • Fully licensed in the State of Michigan as a master social worker, professional counselor, marriage and family therapist, or psychologist
  • At least three years of related experience.
  • Demonstrated experience accurately interpreting and analyzing regulations, policies, and technical procedures.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated experience working independently and using judgment to make decisions.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Communicate verbally and in writing in a clear, concise, and professional manner.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment and skills and capabilities of bridging language/cultural barriers to Network180 services within diverse communities.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience writing biopsychosocial assessments, treatment plans, and case notes.
  • Experience with clinical Quality Improvement processes including audits.
  • Experience with data analysis.
  • Experience with accreditation.
  • Experience with recognized quality improvement practices (e.g., LEAN, Six Sigma, Deming).
  • Lived experiences with mental illness/developmental disabilities/substance use disorders valued.
