The Quality Improvement Coordinator for the Aspirus Medical Group provides leadership, guidance and resources to hospital and medical staff in the design, implementation, and evaluation of continuous quality improvement activities organization wide. Ensures organizational compliance with JC (Joint Commission) standards and other regulatory (CMS, State of WI) and third-party payer requirements. Supports Medical Staff with performance improvement activities including but not limited to professional practice monitoring, peer review, clinical practice change based on best practice and registry outcomes.

  • Provide leadership and guidance for quality improvement activities.
  • Ensure compliance with Joint Commission standards and other regulatory requirements.
  • Support medical staff with performance improvement activities.

  • Implement clinical practice changes based on best practices and registry outcomes.
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
  • Successful completion of HealthCare Quality Certification exam (CPHQ).
  • Minimum of three years' acute care hospital experience.
  • Experience in data collection methodologies and data analysis.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, set, and accomplish objectives.
  • Experience in development and implementation of clinical studies.
  • Possess an active Wisconsin RN nursing license.
  • Knowledge of Performance Improvement philosophy and tools.
  • Understanding of personal computers and information systems.
  • Additional education in TQM, CQI, productivity management, and basic statistics.
  • Experience in program design and educational presentations.
  • Experience in healthcare quality management and quality assurance.
