Job Description: The Quality Improvement Clerk , reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager or their designee, plays a key role in maintaining high standards. This position is responsible for inspecting and evaluating materials, work-in-progress, and finished products to ensure they meet all internal and external quality requirements. -High volume production in a cold environment. -Must have Quality Assurance experience. Requirements

  • High School Diploma with 2 years food manufacturing experience
  • Must have Quality experience in a Food Manufacturing environment.
  • Working knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices
  • Word, Excel, and Access experience preferred
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • English and/or Spanish, oral and written, communication skills are required
  • Must be a team player

Responsibilities

  • Conduct Good Manufacturing Practice compliance audits an clean, clear and organized audits based on internal standards
  • Conducts quality inspections and reports out issues with ingredients, work in process and finished goods during operations
  • Works with operations to identify and correct quality issues to bring product back into specification
  • Documents inspection results by completing daily forms
  • Maintains a safe working environment by following standards and procedures
  • Trouble shoots production issues resulting in product found out specification
  • Assists in quality complaint investigations stemming from consumers and/or customers
  • Coach and mentor new employees; seek opportunity to grow leadership in others
  • May deliver training or instruction to line operators and leads
  • Performs other duties as assigned
