About The Position
The Quality Floor Inspector position at Molon Motor & Coil Corp is a critical role within our electric motor manufacturing facility located in Arlington Heights. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all manufactured electric components meet the highest quality standards before they are released from the production line. This position requires a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of various measurement tools and techniques. The Quality Floor Inspector will be tasked with selecting and calibrating inspection equipment, including gauges, micrometers, and calipers, to ensure accurate measurements are taken during the inspection process. In addition to performing inspections, the Quality Floor Inspector will be responsible for completing all necessary paperwork associated with the position, including inspection records and move tags. This role is integral to the continuous improvement efforts of the company, as the inspector will contribute to team and company goals by initiating improvements and collaborating effectively with other employees and departments. The ability to follow written and oral instructions is essential, as is the capacity to inspect 100% of the manufactured components as they come off the production line. The successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of measurement terminology and the differences between standard measurement instruments. They will also be able to read and interpret blueprints, understanding the definitions of critical, major, and minor characteristics. Strong communication and team-building skills are a must, as this role requires working closely with various teams to ensure quality standards are met and maintained throughout the production process.
