About The Position

Hoshizaki America is looking for a supervisor for our Quality Engineering team in Griffin, GA. The Quality Engineering Supervisor will be responsible for assuring quality in all phases of the manufacturing process from suppliers to customers and for preventing defects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical/electronic, mechanical, or related engineering field, or equivalent experience.
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in maintaining and implementing quality control practices and procedures in manufacturing operations.

Nice To Haves

  • Understanding of engineering theory and principles of design.
  • Familiarity with 8D problem solving techniques and quality tools.
  • Knowledge of ISO and lean manufacturing principles (5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping) and CAD.
  • Ability to use a variety of quality inspection equipment, including but not limited to depth gage, calipers, micrometer, and product gages.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes related to fabrication of metal products.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to interpret blueprints, diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises inspection and quality control procedures, ensuring adherence to high-quality standards from suppliers to customers to prevent defects.
  • Implements and monitors internal quality control measures to maintain compliance with established procedures.
  • Conducts thorough quality analysis, monitors inconsistencies, and contributes to the development of innovative methods and procedures.
  • Assists in developing test methods and procedures for testing and inspection to ensure that products are flawless and function as designed.
  • Identifies and addresses recurring problems with the quality of products.
  • Analyzes issues reported from customer feedback (VOC) and implements changes to manufacturing, as necessary.
  • Assists in follow-ups with suppliers on quality deviations and corrective actions; ensures solutions are identified and implemented.
  • Analyzes reports and defective products from production to determine trends and root causes.
  • Interprets engineering drawings and inspection data.
  • Analyzes process reports and troubleshoots problems to correct and/or prevent quality issues.
  • Develops and/or adapts inspection equipment to meet quality control standards.
