About The Position

Abbott Nutrition, Casa Grande, Arizona, is seeking a highly motivated Quality Assurance professional to serve as the primary quality representative supporting cross‑functional project teams. This role is responsible for ensuring products, processes, equipment, and systems meet Abbott Nutrition Quality System requirements and applicable regulatory standards across the full product lifecycle. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Previous Quality Engineering experience
  • Experience supporting the development and/or manufacturing of nutrition products
  • Working knowledge of cGMP and/or ISO Quality Systems
  • Ability to travel 0–10%, as needed

Nice To Haves

  • Prior people management or team leadership experience
  • Experience in a food or nutrition manufacturing environment
  • Familiarity with 21 CFR Parts 106, 107, 113, and 117

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary Quality Assurance representative for assigned project teams
  • Take decisive action to identify, assess, and resolve quality and compliance issues
  • Ensure project teams maintain records in compliance with the Abbott Nutrition Quality System
  • Author, review, approve, and provide feedback on quality records and documentation
  • Monitor and maintain the validation status of site products, processes, systems, and equipment
  • Maintain Process FMEA and equipment/software risk analysis records
  • Support site validation plans, validation listings, and periodic reviews
  • Communicate quality status through metrics, trend reporting, risk identification, CAPAs, and improvement initiatives
  • Ensure compliance and quality status of procedures, work instructions, and training materials
  • Author, revise, and update Abbott Nutrition policies and procedures
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives within the Quality System
  • Provide training and guidance based on a deep understanding of quality and regulatory requirements
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert during internal and external audits (Design QA, Validation QA, Operations QA)
  • Ensure quality records are audit‑ready and able to withstand regulatory and internal audits
  • Ensure consistent application of quality and compliance practices across teams and the division
  • Foster a work environment that supports team effectiveness and accountability
  • Coach and mentor staff, supporting performance, training, and development
  • Collaborate with Quality Management on staffing and recruitment planning
  • Ensure products, processes, equipment, and software designed, changed, or purchased meet quality and regulatory standards
