About The Position

Under the direction of the Director of Quality, the Quality Engineering Manager is responsible for leading a team of Quality Engineers and Technicians to improve product safety and quality through Continuous Improvement Projects, Inspection, Rework, and Refurbishment of products sold by Johnson Health Tech North America. Duties will include managing team members and cost centers to achieve annual KPIs, the creation and review of product safety records, product evaluations, and evaluation of reports and trends relating to product safety as well as working directly with Field Service, Customer Service, Operations, HQ, and Factory teams to enhance product safety and quality. The Manager will create SOPs and lead the team to streamline the documentation of defects, identify trends, document root cause, create and manage effective corrective actions, and coordinate rework efforts to fix issues before they reach customers. Travel both internationally and domestically 6-12 times per year. The Quality Manager is the key member of the Product Safety Committee responsible for leading meetings and controlling documentation. This role is an in-office role with the expectation of being in the office 5 days a week.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in an engineering-related field is required
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in manufacturing or quality assurance roles
  • Minimum 3 years of management/leadership experience
  • Experience using Six Sigma tools and techniques and leading Continuous Improvement Projects
  • Experience working with Asia-based teams in Manufacturing, R&D, and Quality

Nice To Haves

  • ASQ certification is preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics CRM and/or SAP
  • Proficiency in Office 365 products

  • Communicate with domestic and global teams during non-business hours
