About The Position

As the Quality Engineering Lead, you will be responsible for architecting and developing a robust quality engineering practice across the organization. This role involves overseeing a high-performing team of quality engineering leaders, shaping and executing strategic direction to advance the company's commitment to exceptional software quality and continuous improvement. You will act as a strategic thinker with a passion for engineering excellence and innovation, fostering a culture of quality and leveraging data-driven insights to elevate standards across software engineering teams. A key aspect of this position is proactively coaching, mentoring, and creating growth opportunities for your teams, empowering them to excel in Test Driven Development (TDD) and automated testing practices. Your deep expertise in test automation, strategic mindset, and commitment to best-in-class development and testing will be crucial for success in this role.

Requirements

Minimum of 12+ years’ experience in quality engineering in both a hands-on and leadership capacity
Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related discipline
Mastery of Playwright with TypeScript and Selenium WebDriver, applying automation skills across a range of testing scenarios
Ability to design robust automation frameworks using advanced architecture patterns and TDD methodologies
Deep expertise building and maintaining backend solutions with .NET, leveraging test frameworks such as xUnit, NUnit, and JUnit
Skill in optimizing CI/CD pipelines for test efficiency, reliability, and seamless integration
Proven track record resolving technical issues through advanced troubleshooting, using logging and analytical toolsets
Commitment to championing agile quality engineering practices and fostering a shift-left approach throughout the development lifecycle
Talent for guiding teams in automation strategy and TDD adoption, elevating engineering standards
Capacity to tackle complex problems with analytical rigor and a solution-oriented mindset
Strength in facilitating clear, effective communication and cross-team collaboration to drive quality outcomes

Nice To Haves

Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems or a related discipline preferred
Proficiency in Java is an added advantage

Responsibilities

Architect and execute the quality engineering vision and strategy to align with business objectives
Drive adoption of Test Driven Development (TDD) practices using tools like xUnit, NUnit, JUnit, Mocha & Chai, and Jest
Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of scalable automated test suites with Playwright (TypeScript) and Selenium (Java)
Lead enhancement of the enterprise automation framework for adaptability, reusability, and maintainability across technology stacks
Innovate testing strategies by leveraging AI-assisted automation, parallel execution, and dynamic test data
Evaluate and implement emerging technologies such as AI/ML and cloud-native testing to advance quality engineering maturity
Integrate testing seamlessly into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions)
Collaborate with Product Owners, DevOps, and Architecture teams to ensure comprehensive testing practices and risk mitigation
Mentor and develop Quality Engineering leaders to strengthen support for the broader engineering organization
Facilitate root cause analysis (RCA), quality reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives to address quality gaps
