Quality Engineering Intern 2026
About The Position
We’re looking for a Quality Intern who’s excited to learn how great products are made and how we keep them great. In this role, you’ll support our quality team with hands-on learning, continuous improvement projects, and collaboration with manufacturing, supply chain, and engineering. This internship is perfect for students who enjoy problem-solving, working with data, and getting exposure to real manufacturing environments while contributing to meaningful projects. This is a part-time, hourly position based onsite at our Kalamazoo facilities. Ideal candidates are interested in working full-time in the summer and at least 20 hours a week during the school year.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an accredited engineering program (industrial, manufacturing, mechanical, or related field)
- Curiosity and willingness to learn
- Attention to detail
- Comfort asking questions and working with different teams
- Basic skills in Excel and Word
- Interest in quality, engineering, or manufacturing
- Ability to stay organized and follow a process
- Good communication skills
Nice To Haves
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is an advantage
Responsibilities
- Help investigate and document quality issues
- Assist with inspecting materials, components, and finished goods
- Support the calibration of gauges and fixtures
- Learn how to use measurement tools (including CMMs)
- Communicate with manufacturing and engineering teams about quality findings
- Help update or organize quality documentation
- Participate in process audits to understand how standards are maintained
