We are looking for a detail-oriented and driven Quality Engineer II to join our Quality Assurance team. This role is critical in ensuring that all aerospace components and systems meet both customer expectations and regulatory requirements. You will work cross-functionally with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain teams to support product quality throughout the entire lifecycle.

  • Support Product Families by developing, improving and implementing quality plans.
  • Address potential non-compliance/non-conformance issues, perform containment activities, determine root causes, execute effective corrective and preventive actions.
  • Create First Article Inspection (FAI) packages, special process requests, MRB tickets.
  • Support process improvement initiatives by performing MSAs, SPC analysis, Lean, Six Sigma, or other methodologies.
  • Identify opportunities for process enhancements and contribute to their implementation.
  • Provide technical support for quality-related issues, including performing detailed root cause analysis, implementing solutions, and hands-on measurement verification when needed.
  • Assist in new product design reviews and quality assessments.
  • Work with manufacturing engineers, production teams, and quality inspectors to resolve quality issues and ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Facilitate the implementation of best practices and standard operating procedures.
  • Maintain accurate documentation related to quality inspections, measurement data, and non-conformance reports.
  • Support supplier quality management by assisting in the evaluation and improvement of supplier performance.
  • Participate in supplier audits and address quality issues as needed.
  • Assist in training and developing team members on quality processes, inspection techniques, and quality standards.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Industrial Engineering, or related technical field.
  • 4-5 years of experience in a quality engineering role, preferably in the aerospace or defense industry.
  • 3-5 years strong knowledge of quality standards including AS9100, ISO 9001, and FAA regulations.
  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Six Sigma certification.
  • Experience working with NADCAP special processes.
  • Background in APQP/PPAP/AS9145 processes.
  • Experience with quality tools (FMEA, RCCA-8D, SPC, MSA, Control Plans) and problem-solving methodologies.
  • Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings and GD&T.
  • Familiarity with ERP and QMS systems.
