About The Position

Quality Engineer for TKXS one of the most dynamic entrepreneurial, software companies in the Triangle and Charlotte. Candidates must be: intelligent, enthusiastic, self-managing, organized, have a flexible schedule, be comfortable working under pressure, and able to handle multiple tasks. Requirements

  • 5+ years in software QA with experience developing and executing test scripts
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively interact with internal and external customers and staff
  • A significant understanding and knowledge of modern test methods, commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the quality assurance field
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies preferred
  • Strong knowledge of SQL
  • Significant experience with testing web-based applications
  • Experience with development of automated testing scripts, specifically the use of Selenium, Katalon Studio, Postman, and/or JMeter, is preferred
  • Experience with TFS or Jira a plus
  • Bachelor's Degree

Responsibilities

  • Design and execute test plans, scenarios, manual and automated test scripts and procedures for 2-week sprints using agile methodology
  • Develop test scripts that address database impacts, software scenarios, regression testing, negative testing, bug validation, performance and usability
  • Solid experience in manual testing on sophisticated web-based applications (Initial focus will be on manual testing until automation is implemented)
  • Plan test schedules or strategies in accordance with project scope or delivery dates
  • Assist with the documentation of business processes and clarification of requirements
  • Identify, analyze, and document problems with program function, output, online screen, or content
  • Document and report defects to software developers (includes monitoring bug resolution efforts)
  • Assist project team in investigating issues reported by clients
  • Provide feedback and recommendations to developers on software usability and functionality
  • Prepare status reports for QA activities
  • Provide direction and support to less experienced quality assurance analysts to help them increase their understanding of more complex quality assurance techniques
