As a Quality Engineer, you'll play a key role in driving product and process excellence across our manufacturing branches. You'll lead internal and external quality initiatives, facilitate root cause analysis, implement inspection protocols, and be a champion for continuous improvement in a metals manufacturing environment. We're currently seeking a Quality Engineer (QE) who is passionate about quality, innovation, and impactful collaboration.

  • Drive compliance with customer quality metrics and expectations
  • Investigate internal/external quality issues using tools like 5-Why, Fishbone, and 8D
  • Partner with operations on quality planning for new equipment and process changes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes and reduce defect rates
  • Lead or support internal and external audits
  • Train and guide production teams on quality tools and systems
  • Collaborate with suppliers to resolve quality concerns and validate incoming materials
  • Manage non-conforming inventory and coordinate timely disposition
  • Maintain quality documentation and performance data, including charts, graphs, and trend analysis
  • Ensure branches meet corrective action and customer satisfaction goals
  • Support a culture of continuous improvement and quality ownership at all levels
  • Proficient in Quality Science principles and tools
  • Familiar with ISO 900 ASTM standards, IATF 949
  • Experience conducting Root Cause & Corrective Action (RCCA) and Continuous Improvement initiatives
  • Strong PC skills (Excel, Word, data analysis tools); capable of interpreting technical drawings
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
  • 3+ years of Quality Engineering experience in manufacturing (preferably metals)
  • AS90 internal auditor certification or eligibility
  • Six Sigma Greenbelt certification or training
  • Experience with ERP and Quality Management Systems (SAP preferred)
