We are looking for a Quality Engineer to support our SJE Rhombus brand. This role will work out of our New Hope, MN location. Our SJE Rhombus brand is a leading provider of custom circuit board design, firmware and software development, sourcing and inventory solutions, as well as printed circuit board (PCB) assembly. The job: As our Quality Engineer , your primary role will be to support and lead various improvement initiatives and corrective actions related to product development, production, sourcing, facility/space sanagement, scheduling/planning, quality systems and operations. You will be responsible for writing, revising and maintaining work instructions. You will be responsible for quality and continuous improvement engineering including, but not limited to: Coordinating investigations, corrective actions and preventative actions Using statistical and lean manufacturing tools Identifing and implementing error prevention or POK/YOK tools and systems where feasible Supporting and assisting in training, coaching, and maintaining core processess Providing support in processing liability claims and RMA Lead projects, internal audits, including reports and follow up actions

Requirements

  • Be familiar with PCB/Embedded industry
  • Possess a mechanical aptitude and ability
  • Be familiar with ISO standards and automation
  • Be proficient in project management and document management
  • Know Lean manufacturing principles
  • Support team collaboration
  • Possess time management, organization and oral and written communication skills
  • A minimum of a 4-year degree in Engineering and 3-5 years of experience are required

Responsibilities

  • Coordinating investigations, corrective actions and preventative actions
  • Using statistical and lean manufacturing tools
  • Identifing and implementing error prevention or POK/YOK tools and systems where feasible
  • Supporting and assisting in training, coaching, and maintaining core processess
  • Providing support in processing liability claims and RMA
  • Lead projects, internal audits, including reports and follow up actions
  • Writing, revising and maintaining work instructions
