Quality Engineer
About The Position
The Quality Engineer will be responsible for the following: Interfaces with customers regarding quality-related issues Analyze production/process data to determine areas for improvement (SPC and capability). Organize/prepare First Article documentation for submission (includes AS9102, PPAP, etc.) Organize/prepare data packages to send with daily shipments Works with production to develop plans for process corrections and continuous improvement. Conduct AS9100 internal audits Participate in New Product development meetings Works with purchasing to select new suppliers, monitor supplier performance, including issuing and managing the SCAR process when necessary Be a resource for Quality Department personnel, concerning skill enhancement, upgrading, and promotion of a positive and open working culture Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- 4 year degree or equivalent experience
- Three years of professional experience in the inspection and certification of a variety of supplies, materials, and equipment
- Knowledge of Quality standards and general requirements (ISO 9001:2015, AS9100)
- Knowledge of structured problem-solving techniques (8D)
- Knowledge of process continual improvement tools
- Knowledge of Basic statistics
- Knowledge of Microsoft office suite
