Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related technical field.
  • 3+ years of experience in a Quality Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering role.
  • Strong knowledge of corrective action methodologies and root‑cause analysis tools.
  • Experience working within a formal Quality Management System (ISO 9001, AS9100, IATF 16949, etc.).
  • Acts with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proactive time management with the ability to manage multiple projects at various stages of the product development cycle.
  • Bias for action and the ability to work with a strong sense of urgency.
  • Collaboration skills and the ability to partner effectively across teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and drive informed decisions.

Nice To Haves

  • Six Sigma Green Belt or higher is preferred.
  • Experience with statistical analysis tools such as Minitab, JMP, or similar platforms.
  • Familiarity with FMEA, control plans, PPAP, or comparable quality frameworks.
  • Background in high‑reliability industries (aerospace, medical devices, automotive, electronics, etc.).

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with engineers to bring new product concepts to life through hands-on prototyping, testing, and documentation.
  • Lead and facilitate PCA investigations using structured problem‑solving tools (5 Why, Fishbone, DMAIC, etc.).
  • Own the full lifecycle of corrective actions, from issue identification through verification of effectiveness.
  • Ensure timely closure of PCAs in alignment with internal quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct containment activities to protect customers and prevent recurrence of issues.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records related to PCAs, nonconformances, and quality events.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing evidence, reports, and corrective action updates.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO, UL, FM, and other applicable standards.
  • Analyze quality trends, defect data, and process performance metrics to identify systemic issues and improvement opportunities.
  • Prepare and present PCA reports, dashboards, and recommendations to leadership.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of corrective actions through data validation and process verification.
  • Partner with Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, and Production teams to implement corrective actions and drive alignment.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to resolve quality issues and drive supplier corrective actions when required.
  • Provide training and guidance on PCA processes, root‑cause tools, and quality best practices.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance product quality, reduce defects, and improve process capability.
  • Support Lean, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of quality procedures and standards to strengthen the overall quality system.
  • Take on additional responsibilities as needed to support team goals and project milestones.
