As a highly valued member of the Forney, TX Team, this role will support driving quality excellence within the distribution center. The role is responsible for planning, implementing, maintaining, and continuously improving quality programs, systems, procedures, and work instructions in alignment with quality standards and methodologies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • 2+ years of experience in quality engineering, preferably in a distribution, logistics, or manufacturing environment.
  • Working knowledge of quality tools and methodologies.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools (Excel, Power BI, or similar).
  • Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory control, and shipping/receiving processes.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Legal work authorization in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this role now or in the future.

Nice To Haves

  • 3-5 years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with ISO9001:2015.
  • Oracle experience.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality control systems and procedures for inbound and outbound logistics.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) for non-conformances.
  • Monitor and audit product quality, packaging, labeling, and documentation compliance.
  • Analyze operational workflows and identify opportunities for quality and efficiency improvements.
  • Lead Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen initiatives to reduce waste and improve throughput.
  • Collaborate with warehouse, inventory, and transportation teams to optimize quality-related processes.
  • Work with suppliers to resolve quality issues and improve supply chain performance.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, audits, and quality metrics.
  • Support internal and external audits, including customer and regulatory inspections.
  • Other duties/projects as assigned.
