About The Position

The Construction Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring construction activities meet established quality standards, contract requirements, and project specifications. This role works closely with project teams, subcontractors, and clients to implement quality management processes, identify and resolve quality issues, and support continuous improvement throughout the project lifecycle. Quality Engineer plays a key role in protecting project integrity, minimizing rework, and supporting successful project delivery.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Engineering, or a related field required.
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in construction quality, quality assurance, or quality control, inspections, preferably in a field-based role.
  • Knowledge of construction methods, materials, codes, and industry standards.
  • Experience with Quality Management Systems and inspection and testing processes.
  • Strong attention to detail, documentation skills, and ability to interpret drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and monitor project-specific Quality Management Plans.
  • Conduct inspections and audits to verify compliance with drawings, specifications, codes, and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with project teams, subcontractors, and clients to identify, address, and resolve quality issues in the field.
  • Review material submittals, test reports, inspection records, and quality documentation for accuracy and completeness.
  • Track, document, and report nonconformances, including corrective and preventive actions.
  • Support preconstruction activities by reviewing design documents for constructability concerns and potential quality risks.
  • Ensure proper calibration, maintenance, and use of testing equipment and inspection tools.
  • Provide training, guidance, and support to project personnel on quality procedures, standards, and best practices.
  • Maintain organized and accurate quality records to support project closeout and client handover.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance construction quality processes, performance, and outcomes.
  • Attends and collaborate in all pre-planning, pre-installation and progress meetings
  • Establish testing procedures in accordance with contract specifications
  • Manage inspections process.
  • Coordinate third party testing agents and interface with the Owner's representatives as required.
  • Closely track and maintain a project deficiency log.
  • Manage the punch list process.
  • Oversee project closeout deliverable process-training, O&Ms.
