The Quality Engineer is responsible for assisting with production, customer and supplier quality issues. This role will have a direct impact on the safety and quality of our products to make our customers successful.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or 5 or more year's related experience and /or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Expert in problem solving and ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Excellent organizational and attention to detail skills
  • Great verbal and written communication skills to present information to groups
  • Experience with basic inspection tools and systems
  • Proficient with Microsoft products

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum 5 years of quality experience preferred; CQE certification from ASQ is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate investigation and drive corrective action to customer and internal quality issues
  • Track FPR (First Pass Rejects), provide reporting and facilitate actions to reduce
  • Be a point of contact for Hydro-Gear problem solving process
  • Ensure issues are appropriately prioritized and addressed
  • Drive root cause analysis and effective actions
  • Develop systems and measurements to highlight opportunities for improvement throughout assembly
  • Implement and lead projects to address improvement opportunities
  • Audit production processes to ensure compliance to process standards
  • Support customer management process and lead efforts on site at customer facilities as required
