Overall Expectation: Provide hands-on manufacturing quality support with an emphasis on continuous improvement, customer problem solving (8D), and supplier corrective actions. This role requires an experienced, energetic problem solver who can apply a diverse range of tools and lead cross-functional teams to deliver sustained quality results in a production environment. Highlighted Expectations: Drive continuous improvement using a “Trend, Pareto, Attack” approach: analyze quality data, identify the biggest opportunities, and lead collaborative actions that measurably improve key metrics (scrap, PPM, customer incidents). Lead internal and external 8D problem solving for customer concerns, including containment, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and verification of effectiveness. Partner daily with production teams to resolve quality issues quickly, strengthen processes, and prevent recurrence through robust corrective actions. Support supplier corrective actions in collaboration with the Supplier Sourcing & Development team to improve incoming quality and reduce supplier-related disruptions. Maintain and improve quality systems by participating in internal audits and supporting IATF audits and system maintenance. Maintain and update APQP-related living documents (Control Plans, PFMEAs, etc.) as products and processes change.
