Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or science-related field, or significant applicable experience in lieu of degree.
  • Self-motivated driver of quality with demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent customer communication skills.
  • Experience with manufacturing processes and supplier management.
  • Ability to function effectively in a team environment.
  • Effective communication skills driven by attention to detail and pursuit of process improvement.
  • Excellent analytical skills using Six Sigma and lean principles, Green or Black Belt Certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Drafts and implements procedures and work instructions relating to the Quality effort including inspection plans and acceptance tests for Incoming Inspection.
  • Reviews and approves Quality System documentation such as Operations Procedures, Work Instructions, Manufacturing Procedures, drawings and specifications.
  • Works with Manufacturing Engineers in developing such documentation as assembly validation plans/protocols, FMEAs and Quality Plans.
  • Participates with Supply Chain Manager and Supplier Quality Engineer with the continuing evaluation of supplier performance.
  • Supports third party certification (UL, CSA…) compliance along with Supplier Quality Engineer including implementation coordination with the customer, performance of internal audits for compliance and hosting third party auditors.
  • Communicates with customers and suppliers on issues related to product quality and performance.
  • Assists the Quality and Regulatory Manager in coordination of audits of Spartronics quality systems by FDA, ISO (third party), and Customers.
  • Participates in internal auditing program.
  • Manages and coordinates the Complaint, Corrective/Preventive Action and Material Review Board processes.
  • Introduces and utilizes appropriate quality tools to evaluate product and process performance such as, Pareto Charts, FMEAs, and statistical process control and process maps.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of government and industry quality assurance codes and standards.
  • Utilizes problem solving tools to complete thorough root cause analysis and determines effective corrective actions.
  • Analysis system data to proactively determine continuous improvement actions.
  • Safety: Ensure all assignments are performed in compliance with applicable Federal, State and company safety and health regulations, and where applicable, proper personal protective equipment is utilized.
