Requirements

- This position requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering technology or a related field and 5-7 years of experience in manufacturing quality, preferably in high-volume metal fabrication (e.g. forming, cutting, and welding).

- Automotive or transportation sector experience a plus.
Responsibilities
- Advise on provisions to minimize quality issues
- Develop and implement required quality documents
- Perform regular process audits
- Drive root cause and corrective actions – Must own and lead the quality process
- Work with Engineering and Production to address any internal quality concerns and corrective actions
- Prioritize quality improvement activities
- Utilize quality improvement training, activities, and policies
- Manage all documentation and reporting requirements for the quality system
- Develop performance improvement targets for quality
- Conduct customer surveys to solicit feedback
- Perform statistical analysis and data analysis
- Perform gage calibration, product testing, and maintain records.
- Participate in quality audits
- Demonstrates hands on mechanical capabilities, problem solving, leadership, conflict management, and team building skills in productive team environment
- Develop reports of product conformance
- Other duties as assigned
