Requirements

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • This position requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering technology or a related field and 5-7 years of experience in manufacturing quality, preferably in high-volume metal fabrication (e.g. forming, cutting, and welding).

  • Automotive or transportation sector experience a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Advise on provisions to minimize quality issues
  • Develop and implement required quality documents
  • Perform regular process audits
  • Drive root cause and corrective actions – Must own and lead the quality process
  • Work with Engineering and Production to address any internal quality concerns and corrective actions
  • Prioritize quality improvement activities
  • Utilize quality improvement training, activities, and policies
  • Manage all documentation and reporting requirements for the quality system
  • Develop performance improvement targets for quality
  • Conduct customer surveys to solicit feedback
  • Perform statistical analysis and data analysis
  • Perform gage calibration, product testing, and maintain records.
  • Participate in quality audits
  • Demonstrates hands on mechanical capabilities, problem solving, leadership, conflict management, and team building skills in productive team environment
  • Develop reports of product conformance
  • Other duties as assigned
