About The Position

You will be the Quality Engineer for the Quality Engineering team. Our team is responsible for ensuring the highest quality of manufactured and procured products within Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control. What You Will Be Doing As the Quality Engineer you will be responsible for developing, reviewing, and enforcing quality standards, methods, and procedures that keep our customers’ missions on track. You will work side‑by‑side with engineers, suppliers, and program personnel, directly influencing product quality and delivering tangible impact for our customers. Requirements

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a STEM related field some professional experience, no experience required with a STEM related Masters degree or equivalent combined education and experience.
  • Proficiency in relevant computer applications.
  • This position requires the ability to obtain a secret clearance and must obtain an interim secret prior to start so therefore all candidates need to be US Citizens.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team player.
  • Working knowledge of MES systems
  • Working knowledge of GD&T, FMEAs, and Root Cause and Corrective Action processes.
  • Experience in Six-Sigma green belt techniques and statistical process control methods.
  • Discrete and/or Micro-electronics experience.
  • J-STD-001/IPC-A-610 familiarization.
  • ASQ CQE.

Responsibilities

  • Review documentation related to internal and external manufacturing processes to guarantee delivery of quality products.
  • Analyze and resolve process issues ranging from routine to highly complex.
  • Lead corrective‑action meetings, identify trends, and ensure responsible parties meet commitments.
  • Participate in Material Review Boards and Failure Review Boards to disposition non‑conforming hardware and drive root-cause corrective actions.
  • Perform assessments and audits to verify compliance with specifications, engineering drawings, ISO 9001, and AS9100 standards.
