About The Position

You will be the Quality Engineer for the THAAD Production Program. What You Will Be Doing As the Quality Engineer you will be responsible for assuring that LM THAAD Quality Engineering activities are effective through supporting product line validations as outlined by AS9102, accurate measurement and characterization of resultant performance parameters, and risk management. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Identify process variation and nonconformance sources, applying data analysis to create innovative solutions. Provide systemic support for issue resolution with root‑cause analysis and corrective actions. Support Make Site requests, interface with customers, and manage program requirements. Drive Material Review Board activities and failure diagnosis. Develop technical solutions and liaise on quality‑engineering matters. Basic Qualifications -STEM degree at the bachelors level or higher. -Ability to obtain a secret clearance. -An understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), Specifications, Contracts that will enable development and review of QE Processes, and related Performance Metrics. -Must be able to identify and document Make Site's quality deficiencies and ensure effective corrective action. -Ability to focus on continual improvement practices using causal analysis tools to drive corrective and preventive actions. -Experience in disposition of nonconforming

Requirements

  • STEM degree at the bachelors level or higher.
  • Ability to obtain a secret clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Demonstrated experience in project management from idea creation, to team involvement, thru execution and closeout of actions.
  • ASQ Certification or Lean Six Sigma Certification (Green Belt/Black Belt).
  • Experience with performing First Article Inspections to AS9102 requirements.
  • Strong understanding in AS9100 and ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
  • Demonstrated Leadership, Customer Relationship Management skills.
  • Background in Electrical components.
