About The Position

Acara Solutions has been providing advanced manufacturing firms with our staffing services nationally for almost 70 years. Our Panhandle (Ft. Walton Beach) aerospace client is looking for 2 Quality Engineers to join their organization as salaried direct employees. DOE the salary range is from $90K - $132K. Relo assistance available. A background in electronics manufacturing is a must. Ideally AS9100 experience too. Candidates with Aerospace, Automotive, or Medical Device experience a must. This is a quality team of 6 (5 QE's and 1 SWE). Reporting to the Quality Manager, you will be responsible for performing complex assignments to develop, apply and maintain quality requirements for processing components and other materials into finished goods and products. Coordinate product and component failure analysis. Drive corrective action, and inspection of all program hardware (to J-STD001 and IPC610 Class 3) and documentation and supplier quality improvements. Analyze and resolve customer complaints and field reliability issues. Manage in-house program audits and corrective action program in support of AS9100 (Aerospace Standard) certification. Apply statistical process control (SPC) methods for analyzing data to evaluate current process and process changes. Lead both Customer Source and Government Source Inspections and provide customers all required documentation. Ensure proper documentation via NCMR's of all quality write ups, ensuring all NCMR's are properly filled out and addressed prior to hardware moving forward. Assist Manufacturing Engineering in FAR (Failure Analysis Reports) to ensure all failures are properly documented and full corrective action is followed through and documented. Ensure all hardware and documentation is in compliance with approved drawings and designs. Assist and take a lead role in driving to completion of FAIR's as required in accordance with AS9102. Drive Material Review Board meetings where applicable.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (BSEE or BSME preferred)
  • Min 3 years of experience as either a Quality Engineer or Manufacturing Engineer (ideally in a Mil-Spec environment).
  • Experience with statistical tools including MTBE calculations.
  • Familiar with Hybrid manufacturing methods including IPC610 and J-STD001.
  • Min 3 years of Lean experience
  • This is an ITAR facility supporting the U.S. military. The employee needs to have the ability to receive a Secret clearance if needed.
