Requirements

Minimum of 5 years of experience in Quality Engineering in a manufacturing environment
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skill set
Proficiency in Quality Core Tools: PFMEA, Contral Plans, Process Maps, Work Instructions
Understanding of ISO 9001:2015/IATF 16949 QMS standards
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Strategic thinking and decision-making abilities
Reading technical drawings and technical documentation
Bachelor’s degree in engineering

Nice To Haves

Experience within manufacturing and/or automotive environment

Minitab
Continual Improvement: 6 Sigma
SAP
CMM programming (Basic) knowledge with ability to write and troubleshoot programs for dimensional inspection
GD&T – ability to interpret complex engineering drawings
Experience importing CAD models into CMM software
Proficiency in software PC-DMIS/Calypso, or MODUS

Responsibilities

Identify opportunities for improvements using KPI’s: First pass Yield (FPY), Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ), Control of Non-Conforming Parts, Part Per Million for Customer Complaints (PPM)
Work as an active team member supporting quality goals and objectives. Provide support to Operations and Engineering as needed.
Contain non-conforming parts and finished product as required
Perform Gage R&R and MSA
Problem investigation; root cause and corrective actions (8D, 5-Why, A3)
Conduct Process Audits
Statistical analysis: Capability studies, review data for trends and provide constructive feedback
Build inspection plans for new parts
Participation in waiver, MRB, and PPAP meetings
Work with SQE on supplier related issues
Create ISIRs
