Requirements

1-3 years of experience working in the field of Quality, Engineering, or similar
Experience leading teams in troubleshooting issues in manufacturing
Deep understanding of APQP and SPC concepts both theoretical and practical application, CMM equipment and data analysis, problem statements and root cause analysis, and common problem-solving methods and techniques
Able to read and understand blueprints - Machining experience is a plus
Solid understanding of fixture design concepts
Competency in basic metrology equipment and measuring tools such as calipers, comparators, micrometers, etc.
Intermediate to advanced computer proficiency (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Adept in analyzing data such as normal distribution charts, trend charts, control charts, etc.
Expertise in analysis and problem solving
Excellent verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills
Efficient in organization and planning
Bachelor’s degree in Quality, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering with 1 year of Quality Engineering experience; or 5 years of equivalent Quality Engineering experience or similarly related function

Nice To Haves

Professional certification, such as Certified Quality Auditor for ISO 9001:2015, CQE, etc.
Experience operating a CMM

Responsibilities

Serve as the primary source of contact with customer/supplier representatives.
Maintain a positive relationship, deliver excellent communication, and support and attend meetings, reviews, and audits.
Ensure that the quality systems are maintained in accordance with ISO9000:2015 standards.
Verify corrective actions and prepare problem solving customer correspondence related to quality concerns or issues.
Participate in internal and external quality audits.
Perform root cause analysis of technical quality problems.
Utilize and apply the appropriate APQP tools (e.g. Process Flow, PFMEA, Control Plan, PPAP, SPC).
