About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to play a critical role in ensuring the integrity, consistency, and excellence of our precious metals manufacturing operations. This is a hands-on, onsite position for someone who thrives on the factory floor, values both technical rigor and aesthetics, and wants to make a visible impact on product quality and process performance. In this role, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to improve yields, reduce waste, support new product launches, and uphold the high standards our customers expect.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field
  • 5+ years of Quality Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and hands-on factory floor experience
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and quality management systems
  • Proficiency with quality tools such as FMEA, SPC, and root cause analysis
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across functions
  • High attention to detail with an appreciation for craftsmanship and aesthetics

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with precious metals, jewelry, or luxury goods manufacturing
  • CQE and/or Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification
  • Strong statistical analysis skills
  • Experience with SolidWorks and/or Minitab

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve quality assurance processes for precious metals manufacturing
  • Inspect in-process materials and finished products to ensure compliance with specifications, tolerances, and aesthetic standards
  • Monitor production processes and identify opportunities for quality and efficiency improvements
  • Lead root cause analysis and drive effective corrective and preventative actions (CAPA)
  • Conduct internal audits and supplier audits, including ethical sourcing compliance
  • Maintain accurate and thorough quality documentation, including inspection reports, control plans, and certifications
  • Use precision measurement tools for dimensional and visual inspections
  • Support new product development by defining quality requirements and validation protocols
  • Train and coach production teams on quality standards, proper handling of precious metals, and best practices
  • Apply Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies (DMAIC) to reduce waste and improve throughput
  • Review, certify, and monitor key Customer Critical-to-Quality (CTQ) requirements, ensuring measurement systems are capable and reliable
