About The Position

Sloan is the world’s leading manufacturer of commercial plumbing systems and has been in operation since 1906. We are at the forefront of the green building movement and provide sustainable restroom solutions. We manufacture water- efficient products including flush valves, electronic faucets, soap dispensing and sink systems along with vitreous china fixtures for commercial, industrial and institutional markets worldwide. The Quality Engineer is based in our Andover, MA facility. In this role you will provide Quality Engineering support to Manufacturing, Sourcing, Operations, Engineering and Service departments in order to ensure that processes, products and procedures demonstrate conformance and compliance with company standards, specifications and requirements

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in In Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related Engineering discipline such as Production Engineering
  • 1+ Years Relevant experience in Quality Assurance and Manufacturing Engineering,
  • Experienced with Non-Conforming Materials, Returned Materials, Scrap Analysis, analyzing data and reporting using control charts, scatter plots, and Quality System and Auditing
  • Experienced with Process Maps, Control Plans, PFMEA, Root Cause Analysis, and problem solving, GR&R and Regression
  • Technically skilled in Excel, pareto chart, Microsoft Power BI, Minitab, Freedom Elog, Indysoft, AutoCAD, SIMIO software, and ERP systems
  • Technically skilled in GD&T and Hard Gaging
  • Technically skilled in Six Sigma, Lean, Kaizen and 5S

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and maintain quality systems, testing and inspection activities designed to assure that products, processes, and services confirm and comply to corporate, state, federal and regulatory requirements
  • Document problem solving efforts to correct or improve internal products, processes, and services
  • Perform internal auditing of procedures
  • Assist and provide technical expertise for qualifying, developing, certifying and assisting suppliers and vendors
  • Assist in the development and implementation of corrective actions designed to improve or maintain products, processes, and services
  • Apply Advanced Product Quality Planning techniques such as Failure Mode Effects Analysis, control plans and Measurement System Analysis to evaluate the producibility of new products and stability of production processes
  • Utilize statistical data to identify and resolve problems and leads problem solving teams that focus on problem prevention and variance reduction
  • Maintain and review quality system records and data
  • Make recommendations for improvements to product, processes or systems; create, modify and implement standard work and inspection methods
  • Maintain gage calibration system to support measurement needs in production and QA
  • Promoting continuous improvement of products, processes, services and customer satisfaction
