About The Position

Quanex is looking for a Quality Engineer to join our team located in Mounds View, Minnesota . The Quality Engineer serves as a process engineer and an expert in quality tools who is responsible for developing and maintaining quality engineering methodologies, systems and practices which meet Quanex and customer requirements. Requirements

5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment or statistical analysis experience in lieu of
Bachelor's degree in quality, engineering or related field

Nice To Haves

ASQ CQE, Six Sigma Black Belt or other comparable certification preferred

Responsibilities

Supports the investigation and resolution of customer questions and concerns
Identify and implement effective process control systems
Develops and initiates quality standards for tests, inspections and evaluations
Partners with manufacturing teams to ensure that equipment and processes are consistent with quality standards
Serves the leader for larger Six Sigma projects including team management and communication to key stakeholders
May work with suppliers to ensure raw materials meet the company’s quality standards
Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
