About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our castings meet the highest quality standards and comply with industry regulations. This role involves collaborating with various departments to implement quality assurance processes and improve product reliability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in quality engineering or a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of quality control methodologies and tools.
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis and quality improvement techniques.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations (e.g., ISO, Six Sigma)

Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparation/delivery of department reports, charts, and graphs on defects and scrap. Perform analysis of charts and lead improvement/reduction efforts.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, diagrams and confer with management and engineering staff to determine quality and reliability standards.
  • Read blueprints and/or engineering specifications to obtain casting information such as specified material, surface finish, and dimension requirements; ability to compare surface finish of work piece to finish requirements.
  • Responsible for FAI submission process and resolution of non-conforming measurements detected during FAI process.
  • Assists in PPAP process from planning, implementation and execution of final inspection plans.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve quality issues.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation related to quality control processes.
  • Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action planning.
  • Train and mentor team members on quality standards and best practices.
