  • Maintain an active floor presence throughout production areas and work directly with quality personnel to resolve quality issues in real-time.
  • Guide operators through complex inspection requirements and troubleshoot quality issues on the spot.
  • Collaborate with customers to complete source inspections.
  • Support production with immediate quality decisions.
  • Ensure proper use of inspection equipment and validate inspection methods in real production conditions.
  • Assist quality leadership personnel with auditing company policies, procedures, and systems that affect product quality to assure compliance with the company's quality system and good manufacturing processes.
  • Establish and implement product and process quality standards while remaining in compliance with ISO9001, AS9100 and NADCAP requirements.
  • Lead INCR/NCR investigations.
  • Complete analysis on incoming products and approve all product receipts.
  • Inspect and test materials, equipment, processes, and products to ensure quality specifications are met.
  • Develop user-friendly inspection documentation for operators, such as visual aids and inspection guidelines.
  • Develop First Article Inspection (FAI) documentation and procedures.
  • Maintain inspection documentation system and update inspection procedures.
  • Specify and order appropriate inspection gauges and develop gauge control and calibration requirements.
  • Identify customer flow down requirements.
  • Collaborate with operations managers on process control development.
  • Develop, implement, and validate corrective actions for quality issues to prevent issue recurrence.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Manufacturing, or related technical field with 3+ years quality engineering experience OR associate's degree in related technical field with 5+ years of progressive quality experience in manufacturing and comprehensive understanding of quality principles.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in GD&T and blueprint reading.
  • Experience with measurement equipment and gauging systems.
  • Practical knowledge of SPC and quality tools.
  • Understanding of ISO 9001, AS9001 and NADCAP quality systems.
  • Background in manufacturing environment - precision machining or aerospace highly preferred.
  • High proficiency in computer technology and systems operations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills coupled with an attention to detail.
