About the position

Kelvin New Energy Technology US Inc. in partnership with YINLUN TDI LLC has an immediate need for a Quality Engineer at our Houston, Texas facility. Kelvin Energy has an established history of success in the ENERGY MARKET. Quality and innovation as a temperature sensor manufacturer and supplier of heating elements in a wide variety of other industries has proven to be a solid foundation. This position will report directly to the President - North America.

Responsibilities

  • Manage internal and external customer complaints, and carry out quality control, product defect management, and continuous product improvement.
  • Responsible for maintenance of inspection equipment, inspector training.
  • Manage factory measuring equipment and maintain the effectiveness of measuring equipment in accordance with measurement management requirements.
  • Responsible for 5S in the work area, document reception, file management and record filing, ERP maintenance, etc.
  • Drive the improvement, analysis, and effective resolution of internal and external quality issues (incoming supplier/internal process/customer).
  • Prepare and implement incoming inspection procedures, promptly handle and report any abnormal issues, and review the non-conforming record according to the non-conforming product process.
  • Prepare online inspection requirements, provide regular training for inspectors, and drive the resolution of abnormal inspection issues.
  • Arrange product inspections in accordance with relevant technical and legal standards, as well as product testing requirements.
  • Responsible for input, recording, categorizing, and managing quality data for incoming materials, process/supplier quality issues, scrap, providing weekly/monthly quality data, and driving data analysis and quality improvement.
  • Coordinate production and material receiving planning, new product development, allocate manpower to manage incoming materials and product process quality.
  • Provide product inspection reports according to customer and order requirements, cooperate with third-party verification, certification, and customer verification testing.
  • Carry out quality system implementation and continuously optimize to meet the growing management needs.
  • Support and participate in quality management during the development of new products and supervise the effective execution of the development process.
  • Lead activities with all aspects of supplier quality management.
  • Other tasks arranged by the leader.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or above, major in mechanical, electromechanical or electrical engineering.
  • Familiar with ISO 9001/ITAF16949, ISO 14001 system management requirements.
  • 5+ years of quality-related work experience, Experience in automotive refrigeration or industrial refrigeration work is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and continuously develop good quality control methods.
  • Master quality tools: 8D/KT/6 Sigma/ APQP/PPAP/CP/MSA/SPC, etc., with good problem-solving ability.
  • Good communication and coordination skills.
  • Fluent in Chinese a plus.
  • Integrity, passion, leadership and responsibility, problem driving force and escalation resolution.
