About The Position

As a Quality Engineer Technician at VEGA Americas, you will respond to the immediate needs of production or the customer by troubleshooting and assisting with problem-solving and quality concern resolution. This includes documenting problem resolutions and corrective actions. You will coordinate customer inspections and facilitate testing and certification of orders as required for customer orders. Additionally, you will perform or coordinate validation of controlled processes, such as welding, soldering, and painting, which includes cross-sectioning of welds and solders, testing the adhesion of paint, and monitoring in-process inspections in Production. Your role will also involve assisting in accomplishing in-process, final, and vendor inspection tasks, including the inspection of products using tools like the CMM and Niton Analyzer. You will coordinate or perform calibration of in-house test equipment and support the Quality Coordinator with the calibration of gauging. Monitoring and helping control scrap, including pareto and corrective action analysis, will be part of your responsibilities. You will revise and maintain process documentation to support quality improvement and measure and analyze key quality performance data, making recommendations on specific opportunities to improve quality. Lastly, you will facilitate resolution and communication of internal problems identified through the LifeLines Corrective Action system.

Requirements

  • Associates Degree in Technical field.
  • Two years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
