Quality Engineer Sr - Level 3
About The Position
This Quality Engineer (QE) Senior will report to the Quality & Mission Success manager for F-35 Wing Systems at the Fort Worth, TX manufacturing facility. The QE will be expected to regularly review manufacturing defects for root cause and corrective action, partner with Production Operations to mitigate scrap, rework and repair generated during standard manufacturing processes, develop inspection methods as needed, and perform various analyses of quality-related data. The QE is expected to spend time on the production floor to establish process familiarity, build relationships with Production personnel, and share quality engineering knowledge with junior QEs. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM or business discipline
- Demonstrated experience using quality science tools to solve manufacturing problems
- Experience in an engineering or quality role
Nice To Haves
- Hands-on inspection experience in a manufacturing environment; ability to use various precision measurement instruments
- Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)
- Six Sigma Green Belt
- Tableau or similar data visualization experience
- Experience leading teams or projects in a formal or informal capacity
- Graduation from a corporate leadership development program such as QTLD, OLDP, ELDP, etc.
