We are developing the future of Army Aviation with the Bell Future Long-Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA) part of the US Army’s Future Vertical Lift (FVL) modernization effort. We are also developing the Bell 525 Relentless and Bell's High-Speed Vertical Take-Off and Landing (HSVTOL) program, a next generation stop-fold aircraft. This position is onsite in Fort Worth, Texas Headquarters campus at the Advanced Composite Center (ACC) and the Rotors Service Center (RSC). Quality Engineer Specialist Bring your experience and data driven thinking, verbal and written communication skills, collaborative spirit, project management skills, and innovative ideas to help us understand and solve complex quality challenges, and ensure product safety and reliability, customer safety and satisfaction, and compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or technical field required.
  • At least 5 years of experience as a quality operations specialist or engineer, preferably in the aerospace industry, or automotive or other manufacturing industries is required.
  • Prior experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS), ISO quality mgmt., Lean Six Sigma process improvement, CAD-CAM systems and Root Cause Analysis skills is required.
  • Prior experience with Process Failure Mode and Effects Analyis (PFMEA) and control plans and ability to interpret GD&T requirements is required
  • Ability to support and guide cross-functional teams effectively and efficiently.
  • Software system knowledge and skills in MS Office Suite, MES, Power BI, and SAP is required.
  • General project management skills and exposure in assisting with planning, executing, and overseeing projects.
  • Proficiency analyzing and interpreting variable and attribute data, using data collection methods, and ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Able to foster and maintain effective relationships within Bell, as well as with customers and regulatory agencies, to confidently communicate technical issues with data.

Responsibilities

  • Provide senior‑level technical leadership across military and commercial programs, driving preventive and corrective actions, continuous improvement initiatives, and Quality Management System (QMS) effectiveness to strengthen product quality and reduce operational risk.
  • Lead complex cross‑functional investigations using advanced problem‑solving, engineering judgment, statistical analysis, and AI‑enabled insights to identify systemic issues, validate root causes, and implement sustainable corrective and preventive actions that improve process capability and compliance.
  • Develop, refine, and standardize QMS policies, procedures, and process architectures; partner with Quality Culture and Compliance teams to ensure audit readiness, regulatory conformance, and consistent application of aerospace standards and engineering requirements.
  • Provide strategic, data‑driven updates to leadership on quality risks, defect trends, and improvement opportunities, enabling informed executive decision‑making and enterprise alignment.
  • Mentor engineers and operations teams, promoting a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement that elevates quality maturity across the organization.
  • Lead advanced quality engineering analyses—including descriptive statistics, probability modeling, capability studies, PFMEA and control plans, and measurement system evaluations—to drive process optimization, manufacturability reviews, and evidence‑based decision‑making.
  • Drive the integration of AI‑enabled tools and machine learning models across Quality Engineering processes to enhance defect detection, predictive analytics, risk modeling, and automated data insights.
  • Evaluate and deploy AI solutions that streamline root‑cause analysis, accelerate corrective action effectiveness, and improve process and product predictability across the manufacturing and MRO lifecycle.
  • Utilize 3D model‑based definition (MBD)/ 3DX/ Manufacturing Execution Systems to validate product structure, tolerance definition, manufacturability, and inspection requirements, ensuring seamless handoff across Engineering, Operations, and Quality.
